Challenger franchise to McIntosh & Son

AGCO Marketing Director Gerard Carew shows McIntosh & Sons Stuart McIntosh over one of the new MT800B Series tractors following the Challenger franchise announcement last week.

AGCO Australia Limited has announced McIntosh & Son as their new Challenger dealer for the Perth, Geraldton, Moora, Wongan Hills & Katanning regions of Western Australia. The announcement completes AGCOs re-establishment of Challenger dealers in the WA wheat belt following WesTracs decision to relinquish the franchise and exit the ag machinery business earlier this year. Under the appointment, McIntosh & Son will have Challenger sales and service responsibilities for all areas of WA excluding Esperance and Kununurra.

Announcing the new appointment AGCO Australia Limited Managing Director Mr Warwick McCormick said he was delighted to have formed a partnership with a dealer of McIntosh & Sons size and credibility. McIntosh & Son are a highly professional and well respected machinery dealer with a reputation in the agricultural industry second to none he said. Their multiple branch network and customer support resources made them the ideal choice to look after our Challenger owners and continue to grow the population of track tractors in WA.

McIntosh & Son Dealer Principal & Managing Director Mr Ian McIntosh thanked AGCO for the confidence shown in his business and the opportunity to add the industry leading Challenger MT700B and MT800B series track tractors to their product line-up. We have built our business around quality product and service that professional minded farmers value and appreciate he said. Challenger track machines are the most advanced and efficient high production tractors available in the market today, and we look forward to showing farmers their capabilities as well as providing the back-up service they expect with such an investment.

Last year McIntosh & Son celebrated 50 years in the WA agricultural industry after humble beginnings back in 1955 as McKay Massey Harris (to become Massey Ferguson) dealer in Wongan Hills. They now own and operate one of the largest and most successful multiple site farm machinery dealerships in Australia with branches in Perth, Geraldton, Moora, Wongan Hills, and Katanning in Western Australia; and Emerald and Dalby in Queensland. McIntosh & Son distribute a wide range of machinery products and brands including New Holland Agricultural, New Holland Construction, Case Construction, Morris & Flexicoil Tillage & Seeding Equipment, Nitro & Hardi Sprayers, and Mahindra Tractors. The acquisition of the Challenger franchise from AGCO now provides them with a new range of rubber belted tractors from 270 - 570 horsepower to offer their constantly growing customer base.

Challenger is a global brand of AGCO Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of agricultural machinery. For further enquiries contact AGCO Australia Limited on (03) 9313 0313 or McIntosh & Son on (08)-9475 1600.
