More uses for Challenger Track Tractors

Leanne Miller and Haydn Stewart pose with their wedding vehicle

The many varied and useful roles for Challenger track tractors took an unusual turn recently when an MT845 appeared unexpectedly at the wedding of Leanne Miller to Haydn Stewart.

Haydn, a mechanic for William Adams in Swan Hill, organised the unusual wedding vehicle with William Adams AG new and used machinery salesman, Mick Kiley.

"Haydn spent hours polishing it," laughed Mick. "But to his credit it was immaculate for the day."

The use of the Challenger MT845 was not without some debate as Leanne's father was certain that his new Ford Fairlane was a more appropriate vehicle to carry his newly married daughter from the church.

"There was never any doubt that I would use the Challenger," Haydn said.

"Leanne's father made a strong case for the Fairlane but anything other than the Challenger track tractor would have been second best," he stressed.

"It was totally unexpected" Leanne said. "It was really in Haydn's style to have such an unusual wedding car."

The remarkable wedding vehicle was placed quietly at the front of the church during the ceremony.

"We didn't even hear it pull up outside the church. You could imagine my surprise when I saw the massive Challenger out the front," Leanne said.

"I'd really like to thank Mick Kiley" Haydn said. "Without his help it would never have happened."

Haydn and Leanne were married on March 25 and, on behalf of the Challenger team, we would like to thank Haydn and Leanne for the use of the pictures and extend our congratulations and best wishes for the future.
